दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें,
पर उनकी हैवानियत दूरी बना देती है।
होंठो से कभी चूमा था उन्हें,
आज लबों को ख़ाक समझा देती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें.....

ये बाते हैं उन बीते पलों की,
जो आन्खों से नीर बहा देती है ।
उनके संग जो लाइ थी यारी,
उस यारी के सपने दफना देती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें.......

इतना प्यार किया था उनको जब
आज उस प्यार पर अलविदा सुना देती है ।
जिस्मो रूह का रहा न था फांसला,
आज पैसे की औकाद दिखा देती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें........

देखे थे जो मुस्कान के सपने,
बाद अपनों को भुला देती है ।
इतना करीब आ कर वो,
कैसे गैर बना देती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें......

थाम लेते आज भी हाथ,
पर उसकी बेवफाई सवाल उठा देती है ।
लोगों की न माने पंडित,
पर वो अपने मुहं से सब अपना लेती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें ....

शायद होना नहीं मेल अलग हुए राहों का,
कियों के ये दूरियां बहुत बड़ा दती है ।
उनकी ख़ुशी को आज भी उनमे है,
पर खुदसे खुद की दूरी आज सब बता देती है ।

दिल चाहता है आज भी उन्हें,
पर उनकी बेवफाई आड़े आ जाती है ।।।

प्यार तब करो जब निभाने की ताकत हो।
